If your headlights are not working or are not targeted properly, you might not be able to notice the approaching cars. Poor headlight performance can also be a problem if headlights are not aimed straight ahead. If the beams are aimed too high, too low or off-center, they can’t illuminate the road very well. To check the aim of headlights, park the car about 10 to 12 feet from garage door/ wall and turn on the headlights. On low beam, both lights should be targeted straight ahead with the brightest area of both beams no higher than the hood-line of the car.
